Welcome Back to Bay Trail!

It’s been an exciting start to a new school year! The locker setup nights were a big success with many students finding lockers, classes, and new friends.

A big welcome back to our wonderful Bay Trail staff – especially new principal Rob Snyder. Here’s to a fun and successful school year!

Thanks to everyone who supported our PTA with buying locker shelves, items at the food trucks, and memberships in the PTA. We appreciate you!

We hope everyone has been enjoying the dress up days, games, and events of Homecoming this week. Friday will include many activities, food trucks, and a Family Fun Zone at PHS.

We are looking for some volunteers to help run lawn games at the Family Fun Zone on Friday night, 9/23. Shifts are 5:15-6:15 PM and 7:15-8:15 PM. If you can help, please reach out to Colin Merna cmerna.

Thursday, September 29th at 7PM

Please join us for the first meeting of the year. We will hear from our new principal, the Board of Education, and our new teacher representative.

Create with Kindness Program

Wednesday, September 28 at 7 pm

PHS Room H21 and Virtual

PHS PTSA will host a Create with Kindness program for Penfield families, made possible by National PTA and TikTok, where they will participate in conversations about digital kindness, responsibility and safety, as well as TikTok’s parental controls.

The program will feature a panel of students focusing on the positive aspects of using social media. We encourage parents and students to attend. There will be prizes!!

Conversation is geared to 8-12 grade, but all Middle and High School Penfield students are welcome to attend with their Families.

Penfield HS PTSA was selected by National PTA from among PTAs nationwide to receive a $1,000 grant to conduct the event. The grant was made possible by PTA Proud National Sponsor, TikTok.

Create with Kindness is part of National PTA’s PTA Connected initiative. PTA Connected is designed to educate and engage families in digital wellness, security, access, equity and literacy. PTAs have held over 500 PTA Connected events across the country, reaching over 25,000 families.

Bay Trail Library

Volunteers Needed

Parents can help in the Bay Trail Library by shelving returned books, pulling books and other materials for upcoming lessons or even making book marks. Whether you have a few hours each week or just an hour a month we need your help. Please contact Janelle, our library secretary, at 249-6472 or jgutman.
