The Roost is a community cultivation collective that aims to create a more prominent morale-building infrastructure for students and staff at Bay Trail.
Specific activities it supports include:
- Marvelous Month – ticket-based initiative that encourages individual students to focus on one desired behavior or value each week, with the chance to earn a prize
- Rewards for Participation
- Staff Trophy Rotation – passed from staff member to staff member with notes of recognition
- Prizes for Staff Meetings
- Snacks and Treats
- …and more
The Roost is organized by teachers, and they submitted a funding request to the PTA.
We are pleased to share that members voted at the October meeting to fully fund this initiative ($885).
