Bay Trail wants to celebrate diverse heritage and culture with all of the Bay Trail community.
Students or student families can join either monthly meeting(s) or take a task.

Plan to attend DEI Committee meeting
Are you able to join any monthly meeting (the Bay Trail Library at 3 pm – 4 pm of the any of day :10/7/24, 11/4/24, 12/2/24, 1/13/25, 2/3/25, 3/3/25, 4/7/25, 5/5/25).
For your yearly scheduling, the DEI committee admin will send you a calendar invitation.

Plan to support a celebration in October, 2024 ~June, 2025
We have a list of celebrations lined up with the Penfield Central School District DEI initiative (see below).
You can choose a celebration and task (Preparation of Bay Trail TV announcement, selection of music of the month, or presenting your topic for 20 min with 10 min of Q&A, etc.)
The DEI committee admin will contact you for communication with other volunteers for the same celebration.

- February, 2025: Black History Month, Lunar New Year
- March, 2025: Women’s History Month, National Developmental Disability Month
- April, 2025: Ramadan and Arab American History, Autism Acceptance, Deaf History
- May, 2025: Asian American Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Month, Mental Health Awareness, Jewish American Heritage, Haitian Heritage
- June, 2025: Pride Month, Juneteenth, Caribbean American Heritage
